The regional scheduled airline will operate daily flights (except Saturdays) from 6 March enabling south coast business and leisure travellers to fly from Southampton to the Isle of Man in just 70 minutes.
Keith Watson, Eastern Airways’ head of sales & marketing, said: “Our new service is great news for South of England travellers as we are offering by far the most convenient and swiftest way to travel to the Isle of Man. We are always on the look out for new opportunities and this route will benefit those visiting on business or for leisure purposes.” Southampton Airport’s director of communications, Jan Halliday, said: “We are delighted to hear that Eastern will be linking Southampton with the Isle of Man, which is ideal for business and leisure passengers. This new service will certainly appeal to those in the finance sector on the island not only visiting those financial institutions in the Hampshire region, but connecting onwards to the Channel Islands. Southampton is also a gateway for inbound travellers heading to London via Waterloo.” Fares will start from £99 return including all taxes, fees and charges. Fares are subject to availability.
This month, Eastern Airways started services from Aberdeen to Stornoway and will launch flights from Newcastle to London City from 30 January. Eastern Airways also operates high frequency flights from Southampton to Aberdeen, Leeds Bradford, Newcastle and Brussels. |
