| Capacity Increased on Leeds Bradford - Aberdeen Service |
|
February 2006
The additional capacity is a reflection on the increasing demand for the service, which also includes a single Sunday rotation, as Eastern’s Scotland Director Graeme Ross outlines. “The Aberdeen to Leeds Bradford service has proved extremely popular with both business and leisure travellers alike and these developments further underline our commitment to the route.”
Andy Flower, Aberdeen Airport’s Managing Director, said: “We are delighted by Eastern Airways' plans to further enhance their Leeds Bradford service from Aberdeen Airport and believe this will be well received by travellers in our catchment area, particularly business passengers. The introduction of this new larger aircraft will ensure extra capacity for our passengers wishing to use this three times daily service. Eastern Airways' commitment to a high standard of customer service is clearly recognised and appreciated by our passengers.”
Also pleased with the news is Tim Fee, Executive Producer of the ITV soap ‘Emmerdale’. “The cast and crew of Emmerdale have a close affinity to Scotland and, as fairly regular users of the service between Aberdeen and Leeds Bradford, we are delighted that Eastern has elected to introduce larger aircraft on what is an extremely popular route. Like ourselves, Eastern actively supports the charity UCAN and I look forward to continuing to work with them in the months ahead.”
The hour and a quarter flights depart Leeds Bradford at 06 45, 13 30 and 17 15 each weekday, returning at 08 30, 15 15 and 19 00. The Sunday service leaves Aberdeen at 15 50, returning at 17 30
